IHELP Bali
Bali Island is the most famous tourist destination in Indonesia. Bali has a very high level of economic development but not all districts in the province have the same level of economic development. Karangasem district in the eastern part of Bali is the poorest district in Bali. The Human Development Index is 7 in the region.

Papua
Papua’s Human Development Index is among the lowest in Indonesia. (65,36 pada 2011). The amount of cash transfers aid to families in Papua can lead to dependence on external assistance. The highlands of Papua are only accessible by plane or by road for approximately 2 days. Families in this area face many challenges including malnutrition, inadequate health care, sexual and domestic violence, and high HIV prevalence rates.
